Dr. Landis attended Elizabethtown College, where he graduated Cum Laude with Honors in the Discipline in Biochemistry. He received his medical education from the Penn State Milton S. Hershey College of Medicine. He completed a medical internship at the Reading Hospital, followed by his ophthalmology residency at the Penn State Eye Center, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. Dr. Landis then completed a cornea fellowship at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital, where he learned advanced techniques in corneal transplantation and intraocular lens exchanges.

Dr. Landis performs all types of corneal transplants, including full thickness corneal transplants (PK), Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK), Descemet Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSAEK), and Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty (DALK). Dr. Landis performs standard, complex and refractive cataract surgery, offering several lens options including toric and multifocal intraocular lenses. He also specializes in intraocular lens exchange and management of dislocated intraocular lenses.

During his career, Dr. Landis has been active in clinical research and has published numerous papers and presentations related to cataract surgery outcomes and corneal disease. He has also taught cataract surgery to residents in training and has assisted with teaching at national meetings. Dr. Landis is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He also serves on the medical advisory board for Altruvision.

Dr. Landis resides in Lancaster with his wife and two children. In his free time he enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with his family. He is an avid runner and has completed several ultramarathons.
